Terms of Service

Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Lifedocket (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.

The Service

Lifedocket helps you track life-admin deadlines by storing item details, extracting information from documents you upload using AI, and sending you reminders. Reminders and AI extraction are provided on a best-effort basis and may occasionally be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. You are responsible for verifying important dates and acting on your own deadlines; Lifedocket is a reminder aid, not a guarantee.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.

Subscriptions, free trial & billing

• Lifedocket is offered on a subscription basis (Solo and Plus plans, monthly or yearly). Prices are shown at checkout.
• New subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. The trial begins only after you add a payment method at checkout. You will not be charged until the trial ends.
• Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid plan and your payment method is charged. Subscriptions then renew automatically each billing period until cancelled.
• Payments are processed by our billing provider, Polar. By subscribing you also agree to Polar's applicable terms.

Cancellation & refunds

You can cancel anytime from Account menu → Manage subscription. When you cancel, you retain access until the end of your current billing period, after which the subscription will not renew. Cancelling during the free trial prevents any charge.

Except where required by law, payments are generally non-refundable. If you upgrade from Solo to Plus mid-cycle, we charge the prorated difference for the remainder of the current billing period immediately; your next renewal is billed at the Plus rate. Cancelling keeps access until the end of the paid period and does not refund unused time. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@lifedocket.app and we will review your case.

Plan limits & fair use

Plans include usage limits (for example, the number of tracked items and monthly AI document scans). These limits are shown on the plan page and may be adjusted over time. AI scanning is subject to fair use to prevent abuse of the underlying AI provider.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you do not have the right to store, or that is unlawful, or that infringes the rights of others.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation, or to process others' personal data without a lawful basis.

Your content

You retain ownership of the documents and information you add. You grant Lifedocket a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the Service (including sending it to our AI provider for one-time extraction, as described in the Privacy Policy). You can delete your content at any time.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Lifedocket is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any missed deadline, lapsed renewal, penalty, or loss arising from reliance on the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to our providers.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last revised. Material changes will be reflected here; continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
